Thank you for the nice YouTube video.
However, I don't see your High Current Shunt that the meter connects to. The Shunt handles the current & feeds a few milliamps to the sensitive meter.
On the lower right side of the meter it says 50 mV. This means that when 400 AMPS goes thru the shunt, it feeds 50 mV to the meter. 200 AMPS feeds 25 mV to the meter, etc.

I was also curious about this [how the ampmeter is wired in this vid]
I don't know if this experimenter is aware of high current meter wiring [Tap]
But it should not be direct [series] in his circuit?[wouldn't seem possible]
or am I mistaken?
Thank you for bringing that up!

This is not my video so I would have to ask h2ocommuter. He has many more videos if you tube search him.

Is he amazed by the amperage???
This seems normal.. Capacitor discharge into low resistance load you will get a huge amp burst.
As well as he may have the wrong shunt.. or no shunt?
Shunt goes inline with load , meter goes across shunt
The equations are here if you want to try them out
R=1
V=200
C=10mf
pulse = 200a

Some of us can't see you tube movies,
I don't get sound!
Can you post a few words on what is happening with the Plasma globe the batteries and the led?
Please
Chet

This is not my video.However it proves that we could charge large cap from RF using AV plug.
I've done a series of experiments with just a car relay 12V so not high frequency of repetition but it still works fine.
I suspect that for Don Smith plasma globe device the "coil" on top of globe was not a coil but a capacitor or at least bifilar made to eliminate inductance in favour of capacitance.This perfectly matches with my discoveries.
