There's a toroid next to the "transformer" !

yes

those are some heavy windings and a nice large cap.  if you notice, the vid i posted here, his toroid was wound with a lot of turns and finer wire and was able to do it with a 12v batt
my orbo toroid winding, im rewinding with finer wire and many more turns.  with the green winding i had, was able to get nice results cap to cap  and capC output with 2uf caps. but the self leakage was a bit of an issue along with the meter draining it as i was measuring
should have done it with a scope.  the impedance is way higher and could have shown something.  but i already unwound that and started the new winding and my threading rod was short and not enough wire to wind it the way i thought.  been 10yrs.  found the longer one to hold mor wire and will get it done.

Some never-before-seen Don Smith footage:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9euGRcmDbg
I posted here cos it's current and Lagace is trying to replicate Don Smith.

I would be interested in having qualified EEs comment on the video.
BTW, it is not INDUCTION that Smith is talking about, but electricity transmission,
in which I assume only the magnetic component can substantially penetrate matter, i.e., go through matter. Please remember that.
Anyhow, a civilised critique, please.
I found this so important that I have downloaded the entire video.

The big black box called a suitcase doesn't have batteries inside because it's connected to ground. Is anyone laughing? Or is it just me?

Interesting. Can someone draw a circuit diagram?  His explanation confuses me.

Rick talks about going off-grid. especially Don Smith.
The transcript is too long to load but you can copy and paste it into word.

Lagace claims this device, based on Don Smith, "runs forever".
Just saying.

Seems like a joule thief (also mentioned in the comments) powered by the electred (capacitor) which can run a long time without any load.

Searching for "electred generators" on google shows one nice comment which goes like:

This can generate electricity in the same way that hamster farts can power a wind turbine - theoretically yes but actually not even remotely worth trying.

See bottom:  https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricalEngineering/comments/1gtts7l/can_an_electret_be_used_to_generate_harvestable/

Ha ha, Itsu. ;D
And now for something better.

For those who like moving generators and want some insight on the Kunel magnet generator patent, check out this first-ever available Don Smith video from 1998.

Well, we go from HF to kilowatts in this video.

(HF = Hamster Farts) lol.

Using a led bulb (not at full brightness) and using DMM's (in mA mode) as indicator of input / output power is indeed quite serious.   Seriously wrong!!

I mean, he's making claims of "overunity".  Either he's an investment scammer or he's got something.
He's also making these claims under the banner of an energy company.

He also talks a lot without really saying much.  It would be easy to fool someone who truly doesn't understand how to measure power, especially with the lack of V*I phase relations and the use of LED's as loads.  Don't get me wrong, I'd love to think that it was as easy as hastily slapping some components together and getting results, but those of us that have been around for a few years have seen all kinds of claims fall short from those who don't take the time to understand necessary measurement protocols.
