Not rerally new but quite interesting:
"He used a DJI Mini2 drone with adequate payload capacity to lift a length of fine-gauge magnet wire 100 meters above ground. A metal mesh collecting electrode was attached to the wire and suspended beneath the drone. To complete the circuit between the drone and the ground, some large nails were driven into the ground. He also utilized a DIY electroscope to demonstrate the type of static charge that was building on the electrode. And amazingly, an electrode was able to deflect the leaves of an electroscope, power a beer can version of a Franklin bell, and run a homemade corona motor".

Coiuld we run such a wire up a tall tower block?

I would've loved to have seen him charge a cap with it like Tesla's radiant energy patent. I am assuming paralleling multiple wires would boost current, I wonder how much current is there. What is it with these science youtubers never trying to push the edge.

I think it is because he is essentially a teacher rather than an energy researcher. You should be right about multiple lines. I don't see how the shape of the foil arrangement at the top relates to performance. This is something Tesla didn't mention.
