Smudge I wrote papers on the aether 20 years ago and trawling through my memory sticks I have found two of them. This bench may not be the best place for them but here they are. I never got round to writing the paper on magnetic fields and I am too old (nearly 90) to do it now. Strange, I was mulling through my files recently and found your papers. I saved them because they were insightful and had value to me, good work. I think of it this way, we know particles have fields and said fields extend out into the surrounding space. Where do the fields come from, why do they exist?. There must be a valid reason yet some would suppose the field exists for no reason because they do like the answers which come to mind. For example, if the conservation of energy holds then logically the primary fields E,B,G must be induced ie. an influence from something else. Otherwise we would have to assume the particle/body "acted on itself" for no apparent reason which is absurd. Similar to the notion of Inertia where an object opposes a change in motion with no supposed external interaction. Then they try to explain inertia as the interaction between two bodies. As if two bodies which "act on themselves" somehow explains the phenomena better than one, lol. It would seem to me logic and reason has left the building. It begs the question, why is there such great opposition to the notion of something like a medium filling all space?. I think the answer is obvious, if there was a medium this not only represents vast quantities of energy but also a means to act on space ie. massless propulsion. Note I did not say "reactionless" which is obviously not the same thing. AC
