PWM control of a DC Power Supply
The purpose is to Chop the DC current into small pulses = Lower input energy = lower heat
Tested DC Power Supplies: - Mean Well DC Power Supply, works, max out at 75A at 17V DC - MEAN WELL RSP-2000-24 24V 52A DC Output Power Supply - Hitbox 200A Arc Welder, works, max out at 175A at 19V DC
Tested PWM Units: - Alltrax, usb to PC, Toolkit controllable, 0-1k ohm potentiometer (manual PWM control) - The Alltrax 2444, that I have does not connect to PC, but works when powered by MEAN WELL RSP-2000-24 24V 52A DC Output Power Supply. - Did not work with welder, unknown why not. - The Alltrax XCT XCT48300 DCS 24-48V 300A, got used, does not connect to computer via usb. Have not powered on yet.
- Motor Controillers 60A DC Motor Adjust Speed Controller 0-1k ohm potentiometer - 10-50V DC Motor Speed Control PWM HHO RC Controller 12V 24V 48V 3000W 60A MAX, fried, no temp. or current overprotection.
