Awareness • Education • Safety • Application
https://hydrogengarage.com/awareness.html

Awareness of water as a fuel, shocks you at first, hard to believe. Then you read more and more on the subject, you start to become aware. Then you educate yourself by reading more and more. After a while you think, wow, I could probably make a hydrogen fuel cell generator myself. You have to learn to respect the hydrogen/oxygen gas, it is almost colorless and no fumes or smell, it is explosive. You learn the safety and bewares, then you apply what you learned in your own garage. The application becomes reality. Finally you pat yourself on the back. You did it yourself, or with the help of family and friends. Congratulations.

Is water is an inconvenient fuel? According to our U.S. D.O.E. it is. The technology of using water as a fuel to run a car has been invented many times already. The inventor is usually bought out and the project is shelved. The present DOE (US Dept. of Energy) will not allow it saying it would ruin the US & world economy, if this was let out over night. The gradual turn over to water as a fuel and or electric cars will eventually take over, but will have to be a slow turn over. Today the pressure is on, the price of gasoline is too high. All of us gas consumers are complaining. The Global warming is due to green house gases from too much carbon (SMOG) and solar flare activity that is effecting all planets in our solar system, we are going into the center of the galactic alignment of the Milky Way, nothing we can do about. that come mostly from gasoline, diesel & jet fuel emissions. Burning of the rainforests does not help either.

How to make a Hydrogen Booster Yourself

https://waterpoweredcar.com/hydrobooster2.html

Since you cannot buy one at the Autozone you make it yourself.
For some reason you don't find Hydro-Boosters for sale in the USA,
but they do make them in Canada for truckers. In future you will find
many companies making them. For now you can make one yourself.

BUY A HHO CELL KIT AND SAVE TIME AND LEARN IT RIGHT

I am sure you guys over here already knew about this HHO Gas Kits for sale
and the famous Bob Boyce Inside Flat Neutral Plates Cells !

How to make a Hydrogen Booster Yourself
cont.
https://waterpoweredcar.com/hydrobooster2.html

New compact Hydrogen/Oxygen Cell from
HydrogenJunkie.com at affordable prices.

Patrick Kelly has a list of Hydrogen Booster here scrowl down the page.

Also : Browns Gas dot calm has lists of hydrogen boosters for sale.

The first Hydrogen Booster was invented in 1918. Go read the history behind it all first.

Many people don't buy the idea that a hydrogen booster will do anything. If they were so great the car manufactures would be making them already. Well, not yet. In 2008 we will start to see the emerging technology. Also know that there are 240 US and International patents on fuel injection systems that get 150-250 mpg! and ZERO are being made today. So why would you think that they will not allow hydrogen boosters to be manufactured? They allow them in Canada. In China they have about 4,000 engineers researching Brown's Gas Generators, they sell for about $300 US dollars in Taiwan and China. They are not allowed to be imported into the US. We cannot switch to water as a fuel overnight, it has to
be a gradual change.

You should be a mechanic type, handy person with a shop or garage with a loud stereo system. You will be tinkering with this thing from time to time. I did not tell you to make one, I'm just showing you how easy it is to make. I'm not liable for your mistakes, Remember safety is no accident. Alot of friends will think you are going to blow yourself up. You are not making a hydrogen bomb. All the egas that this unit makes will be burned up, as you drive. At most up to 5 lbs of egas pressure may build up, it is all this unit will make. It just adds more horsepower, helps complete the burn of all fuel and cleans your carbons deposits, cleans your emissions. I love to have my hydro-booster all running good, for my old truck, it works great. You will save at the pumps, you will clean out the carbon in your engine, you will pass the SMOG test easy. You will have more power. Your engine will last longer. You will be stoked you did it yourself. You will learn about how easy it is to make hydrogen/oxygen as a fuel.

Start off with an older car or truck. I don't recommend to install one of these in a any new car, it may void your warranty. These boosters are meant to mend an old car. Save the vehicle, recycle the engine, clean out the carbons, increase gas mileage by 25%. Honda Civic have know to get 50% better gas mileage. that is a great savings at the pump. Older cars are easier to lean the gas/air ratio mix, before the ECU :engine computers came out around 1990 with OBD I and OBDII came out around 1996 on.

Below is photos of an older design, made from Home Depot cheap SS switch plates. They will last about 3 - 12 months, depending on how many amps you run. See results.

$180 order one today

Air/Fuel Ratio Monitoring

In able to get good miles per gallon gains, in a newer fuel injected engine, you will also need to monitor your Air/Fuel Ratios that your car's computer puts out. There are many ways to do this, the best way to handel all the sensors is with the H2 Systems Enhancer made by Chrysler engineer - Carl Self. You will also need an EFIE, and a ScanGaugeII, it will over ride your "Check Engine Light". You will need to lean your fuel consumption, the addition of a good egas producing hydrogen/oxygen cellwill keep your engine temp.s cool!! We highly recommend watching your temp. gauge when first installed, to see it will work for your car.

My 3rd cell was 7 Stainless steel wall switch covers. $1.78 each (got the idea from Bryan) and 1/4" SS steel threaded rod and SS 1/4" nuts & washers. 1/4" rubber grommets for insulators. The plates are drilled for 1/4" thread on one side and the opposite side is a 1/2" hole with a rubber grommet in the 1/2" hole. I use 1/4" hose pieces to help space the plates from touching. If the plates touch you get a short.

12 volts between the plates will produce a good supply of egas with little electrolyte, but beware of the corrosion factor. This 2001 idea was scraped.

See the "New Improved Design"

Older designs

I used 4" ABS threaded cap & sleeve. I found a 4" 1/4" acrylic pipe, but I recommend a clear water filter housing as pictured below. Make the cell fit your space under the hood. 8"-12" tall. The top thread Stainless Steel (304 grade) is positive (anode) and the lower threaded rod is negative. (cathode) I used 7 switch plates and went (-+-+-+-)One more cathode to produce more hydrogen than oxygen. You get 2 H to one O.

DC pulsed motor Controller

A simple solder kit for $28.00 plus shipping. It can take 12 volts up to 25 amps, it has a 555 mosfet that pulses the signal much like AC does already. The pulsing action at the right frequency (about 8, on a pot. 1-10) helps in more egas production. The Hydro Booster will work without it, but to add more egas what the hay. You hook up a Pot, to the circuit and you dial it in till it bubbles the most. This is why clear filter housing is good for experimenting, because you can watch the bubble action and show friends. They won't last forever, much like SS 4" pipe would be best for long time applications.

Brown’s Gas: Book 1 & 2

This is the "Bible" on Brown's Gas technology, who was the inventor Yull Brown and his Hydrogen Oxygen gas electrolyzer generator, what the HHO gas could do, to how to build one,

George Wiseman, the Owner of Eagle Research and Brown's Gas author and Builder since 1990's.

I first learned from George's books about "common ducted" (hydrogen and oxygen gases) Brown's Gas later to be known under other names such as HHO gas, hydroxy gas, water gas, egas etc.

These 2 plastic gears were used to make their own
ignition system to control the sparking at an adjusted phase
angle versus rotor position from top dead center.

With it they could varify the degree from TDC to have thee
spark ignite and supress the waste spark as it occurs in normal
ignition systems.

With this they can control the ignition timing of the motor
for optimum mechanical and thus electrical output from the motor-generator.

The injector was modified to have an about 30 cm hose at the intake
to let the HHO gas mix with external air
and the HHO gas is put into it the hose via  a hole as you can see above from
the injection01.jpg picture.
The right length of this hose is very important to have the right air-hho mix,
Oliver said today to me.

What is a Anton cell? What does it do and what is its configuration. Stephan you say they power them with the power supply... Wait a minute if the power supply is producing enough energy for the cell to produce 6 liters per min of HHO  this is all meaningless.
What is the voltage and amperage from the power supply. With enough amperage any amount of HHO can be produce to run anything. I am sure I am missing something here
so please all you good people out there please enlighten me.

Hi Bill,
the Anton cell is just a optimized electrolyser cell.

See:

http://anton-shop.com

but the sales form is not working properly in this moment
and they first to have order more new plates I was told today.

Also they are looking for some company to help
them with the distribution,
cause these 2 mens can´t do it all alone.

So it is basically 3 Anton cells working together to
produce arround 6 Liters of HHO gas per minute with about 800 to
900 Watts of electrical input power and the
motor -generator runs from the HHO gas mixed with air
and then the generator part of it produces around 1000 Watts,
so the 220 Volts to 36 Volts AC to DC power supply you see on the table
has enough juice to generate the power to make the electrolysis happen
in the Anton cells.

SO it is a selfrunning system only needing a bit of water from time to time.

Regards, Stefan.

Some more infos from Oliver translated into English:

The problems that still exist and thus it needs 4 hands to control it all:

1st There are no load-and speed-control

in the ignition, exhaust gas recirculation, cooling, air, steam and gas supply.
2nd The engine is the cheapest of the cheapest available, just a cheap chinese
motor-generator and is far too "nervous."
3rd The generator part of it is also one of the cheapest.
4th The used switching power supply is not suitable to process irregular 220 Volts AC frequencies.
5th The pressure regulator or gas buffer must be  improved.
6th A clever mixing chamber to swirl and a venturi system must be found.
7th The valve control is "crap delivered from the factory", so it still must be modified.
6th Air cooling is crap, because heat can not be recycled.
7th All in all, only a "proof of concept" demo..
.... etc.

We first wanted to see and research the main  principle, and therefore,
to understand the previously seen videos on the Internet and see
if it could be replicated.

There is still much to do, but we need  "doers" come into play.

@ Stefan
I have switched off because the speed was too high and we had no desire to
kill the powersupply or to break the engine. The LED display of the power supply was wrong
(Probably because of the unregulated power frequency of the generator?)

We needed  approximately 6L HHO gas at about 800 - 900 Watts input
in the test with the lamps and drill.

The exact values we will still have to measure again,
but we can not work too often in the office, cause it is very loud !

The neighbors don´t have much understanding for running a loud water motor and we
need their patience and don´t want to make them angry...

We need a silent Perpetuum Mobile !  ;D

More translations from Oliver´s postings:

The ignition, we had to operate with a small 220 Volts to 12 Volts AC/DC power adapter.
As the generator has a 12 Volts output also, we could use this and use
a 12 Volt battery as a buffer for the ignition circuit supply.

To run it, we had to start gas production in advance from the grid.

While I plugged in the lamps and the drill,
Valentin had to regulate the amount of air,
so that the engine was not throtteling nor dying.

At this point, it only makes limited sense,
to continue with this this clunker and cheapo motor-generator.

Everything we must now again do from scratch and repeat again using the correct materials
and a better motor-generator, so to replicate and improve it.

This Chinese power generator is probably at its best
only 15% efficient with its intended operation with normal carburetor and normal gasoline fuel,
so its efficiency just lacks..

But yes. It is a  "breakthrough" .
because so far nobody has yet demonstrated as far as I know
a motor-generator, that was loaded with its
maximum rating power of the  generator (1kW in this case).

The fact that we then could also supply the Anton cells so that
it got a selfrunning system
was just a crazy experiment,
and the result has surprised us even ourself very much
and obviously now motivated us very strongly to continue !

Beautiful Sunday to you all:)

The last message from Oliver for today translated into proper english:

We just wanted finally to connect just a bigger load to the generator and see
what will come out of it.

And just to put the AC/DC power supply which powers the ANTON cells as the load onto the
generator was of course the most logical use.

But we were very suprised, that it worked so well and
now have even ourself to figure it out why this worked so well right away ..

 ;D

We even didn´t just wanted OU, but search for a better alternative energy method and efficiency..

There are some strange effects that we need to understand ourselves  first:

Sometimes the gas smells slightly of ammonia,
although no such chemical are in play.

We only fill up Anton only half  full with electrolyte
so that more dense water can be  decomposed.

The Bubbler is more cold than warm.

ANTON itself is only lukewarm.

Even after a very short operation "Anton" sucks 500ml water from the bubbler,
which, according to Darmstadt University of Technology can be a reason that it has
a high concentration of "nascent hydrogen" in it.

Probably we made something right by mistake or by the first time. !?
 ;D
So far we have only done that, what other people have talked about for years...

The ones who wants to a temperature measurements, please send us a thermal camera.

The ones who want to see the loud monster run for hours without to annoy the
other neighbors should bribe the landlord,
because we do it in a regular office with normal office neighbors
and they need to focus onto their work.

The neighbors are not interested in a water motor when the house rumbles.
 >:(

Frankly, we actually don´t care what computer users think
that never have held a screwdriver in their hands....
 ;D

Except for the last changes we have from the beginning documented everything here in the german overunity.de forum
and later also on YouTube.

Enough documented , so that others can follow.

We are even still amazed , that the engine runs indoors at all just with water and on HHO gas
and has no emissions other than hot air and a few dropplets of water.. !

It is all  open source and we need to move on and others
need to build up on it, so we hope that others will help us and
we will move on together.

So long, Oliver.

Selfrunning HHO system with 400 Watts additional output
« on: December 23, 2010, 04:34:37 PM »
https://overunity.com/10156/selfrunning-hho-system-with-400-watts-additional-output/

    Quote

Hi guys,
this is the first real selfrunning device:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMlciNOyo_U

Oliver and Valention, 2 users from the OverUnity.de forum, showing their selfrunning HHO system powering
a 400 Watt incandescent lamp for the first time in public
as a Christmas present for 2010.

This unit only runs on Water being splitted and producing overunity power
to run the lamp.

This is the first candidate for 2011 for the OverUnity Prize.

P.S: The small accumulator is only powering the ignition circuit for the ignition spark and only needs a few Watts, so this could also be powered by the output of the generator in later units.

These are the comments Oliver did send me with this video:

The setup is on a trolley and they drive it around the house.
Since they let the camera run continuously,
so there will be no cuts in the video, the camera catches all the
glitches like the blown out
Lamp due to filament failure due to the vibrations of the whole trolly
and the missed elevator.

At the Beginning of the movie  the system  is started with the help of
another steady Anton HHO system.
From 0:45 it will be "cut off" and the whole system runs self-sufficiently.

At 1:15 the construction light is still switched on as a load.

Then the "journey " goes on.

Then of course Murphey´s law hits twice:

1. At about 2: 50 unfortunately, the lamp goes broke because of vibrations and
then the motor runs too fast because of the lack of a load.

2. At 3:25 we missed the elevator .. * grr *

Murphy´s law always applies ! ;)

At 4:55 of the elevator finally comes back and we go with the running motor-generator
4 Floors down.

As of 5:37, the system turns suddenly far above the normal speed and we
want to stop it before it breaks.

No matter.
Without consideration of losses, we continue down the corridor, out into the
open courtyard ..

7:00 - The system is in the courtyard and the transformer moves around bounces against the motor because of the vibration
the engine.

8:00 - I turn off the camera, because I'm afraid for the expensive variac
and the engine and because of the lack of light load the system still runs much too high RPM..

I like the concept of this movie, because
nobody has yet shown a combustion engine running  in an elevator before.

Any known fuel would have clouded the air in seconds and poisoned us.

Also inside the elevator there could not be any hidden cables as some
people always claim..
People wake up, this is a real system selfrunning !

=====================

I will visit them early in 2011
and will have a close look into it.

Happy Christmas to all Forum users and
please spread this video !
Many thanks for your support and a happy and great 2011 for you ALL !

Please check your local laws and regulations before purchasing or installing AEM Performance Electronics Race-Only products for your vehicle.

In today's video we are comparing four different kinds of ignition systems for car engines. A distributor based single coil ignition system, a wasted spark ignition system, a coil on plug or direct ignition system and an aftermarket racing coil near plug system.

We're starting with the oldest and therefore most primitive setup of the bunch, the distributor. Unlike any of the other ignition systems shown today the distributor controls ignition timing by relying on a mechanical connection to the engine. The distributor is connected to and rotated by engine internals (most often the camshaft) and the speed of the movement of the rotor inside it is synced to the speed of the rotation of the engine. Although it's a system that performs it's duty fine it's obsolete by today's standards and has bay disadvantages over all other ignition systems. The distributor is a source of friction because it adds moving parts to the engine. It's a source of potential oil leaks because the lower part of it's shaft is immersed in engine oil and thus needs to seal it away. On top of this it employs long spark plug wires that generate (extremely small but still present) voltage drops and voltage differences between cylinders. Spark plug wires also need to be replaced as they erode over time, along with the distributor cap that is also a service item. But all of these downsides can be tolerated, the biggest one, that is difficult to tolerate is that the distributor system has limited potential when it comes to delivering spark at high rpms. The single ignition coil which drives the distributor must fire twice during a single revolution of the crankshaft in a four cylinder engine (four times in a v8), which means that in a four cylinder engine spinning at 6000 rpm there's only 5 milliseconds between spark events. This extremely short time frame can result in the ignition coil being forced to fire the plugs before it's fully charged and create a weaker spark or a reduced chance of the spark even happening, which means that the distributor based single coil ignition system can be prone to misfires at higher rpms and is a strong limiting factor if you want the raise the redline of your engine.

Compared to this the coil pack based wasted spark ignition setup is a much better ignition system. It doesn't have any moving parts or gears and no oil seals either. The system relies on a crankshaft position sensor that relays the engine position of the ECU which then tells the coil pack when to fire the spark plug. This results in much greater accuracy of the ignition timing. Another key benefit is that inside a coil pack there are multiple ignition coils, and a single ignition coil always handles only two cylinders. This means that, unlike the distributor, the wasted spark coil pack must fire only once every single rotation of the crankshaft, regardless of the number of cylinders of the engine. This means more voltage and better operation at high rpm.

A coil on plug system takes things even further. It completely removes spark plug wires as a service item and gives every cylinder it's own ignition coil. This means that a coil on plug, or direct ignition system must fire only once every two revolutions of the crankshaft, meaning even more voltage and even better operation at high rpm and greater power potential and a higher redline. Also because the cop (coil on plug) system gives each cylinder it's individual ignition control it enables the ECU to adjust ignition timing individually for every cylinder resulting in more power, less emissions, better mileage and a smoother idle.

The modern coil on plug system is truly powerful and versatile but it too runs out of talent when it comes to highly modified and racing applications. In that scenario you need to step things up to the AEM IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor) coil near plug smart coils. These consistently deliver 40.000 volts in all conditions and can handle any amount of rpms or boost you throw at your engine.

00:00 - Distributor
05:41 - Wasted spark
09:47 - Coil on Plug
12:23 - Monster Coil near Plug - AEM High Output IGBT smart coil

In this video we're explaining every single car engine sensor. For each sensor we'll be explaining what it does, how does it do it, where is the sensor location and what happens if the sensor goes bad. There's also OBD2 error codes for all the sensors. Stuff like P0335, P0118, P0131, P0340, P0300, P0102, P0113.

So the next time you have a problem with one of your sensors you will know what's happening, why is it happening, where is the sensor and what will happen if you don't fix it.

To make the video as simple and as logical I have grouped the sensor into 5 categories.

1. Position sensors (crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, throttle position sensor)
2. Air flow sensors (mass air flow sensor MAF, vane air flow meter)
3. Pressure sensors (MAP or manifold absolute pressure sensor, oil pressure sensor, fuel pressure sensor)
4. Temperature sensors (IAT or intake air temperature sensor, coolant temperature sensor, fuel temperature sensor, oil temperature sensor)
5. Air fuel ratios, emissions and others (oxygen 02 sensor both wide band and narrow band, egt or exhaust gas temperature sensor, nitrogen oxide or nox sensor for SCR selective catalyst reduction and the knock sensor)

We'll see how each sensor communicated with the ECU and how each sensor is a piece of the puzzle. When they all work together correctly the ECU gets to see the big picture and accurately and efficiently manage the operation of the engine. For example the crankshaft position sensor tells the ECU where the piston is so the ECU knows WHEN to inject the fuel. Air flow sensors like the Mass air flow sensor or the map sensor tell the ECU how much air is coming into the engine so the ECU knows HOW MUCH fuel to inject. The throttle position sensor and the intake air temperature sensor tell the ECU the load placed on the engine and the intake air temp which further improves the accuracy of the injection.

The final stream of information necessary for injection accuracy comes from the fuel pressure sensor which lets the ECU calculate exactly how long it needs to keep the injectors open in order to deliver the precise quantity of fuel needed.

In case something does go wrong we have the life saver sensors like the knock or oil pressure sensors. The knock sensor listens for knock or abnormal combustion and if it detects it it warns the ECU and the ECU in a matter of milliseconds retards ignition timing and/or adds fuel to prevent knock from occurring again. The oil pressure and oil temperature sensors make sure that the engine oil, the lifeblood of the engine, is within functional parameters. As soon as it even briefly drifts out of expected values the ECU can protect the engine and warn the driver.

All in all modern cars are a moving world of information where a large number of sensors rapidly provides endless amounts of data that gets interpreted at lightning speeds by the ECU where it triggers a sea of different actions that keep you moving smoothly and safely along the road all while preserving efficiency and minimizing emissions.

Regarding O2 sensors, what is installed in general vehicles is a hi/low type of sensor.  IOW, the output voltage level changes non-linearly much like a switch with hysteresis.  If you are going to adjust AFR, you need to purchase a linear O2 sensor with some type of electronic indicator or recorder preferably one that is calibrated in Lambda.  If you don't know what Lambda is, look it up to understand.

Agreed.

People who add HHO gas Boosters to their cars get a Volo OBDII,  car/truck reader and computer programmer.

Electronic Fuel Injection Enhancers: These devices assist in getting gains by allowing the computer to accept the cleaner exhaust that comes from use of an HHO System.
