I thought this video was interesting...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m9kC1yRnLQ
Michel Laberge: How synchronized hammer strikes could generate nuclear fusion

It's strange how most people think cold fusion will never happen while the real experts like Laberge show it's a done deal and growing exponentially. He also makes a good point that the development cost is very low compared to a smart phone and the internet, a trillion dollars. Not unlike fossil fuels which is a dead horse with no future costing tens of trillions and possibly causing as much in damages.

Another internet fallacy related to cold fusion is transmutation which was proven decades ago. It's not impossible and in fact quite common in high energy discharges with decades of research behind it. Yet many on the internet still believe cold fusion and transmutation are beyond our capability.

I can see a pattern emerging where all these new technologies are gaining traction at a record rate. It follows something called the "exponential growth of knowledge" where we collectively gain knowledge faster and faster. Which becomes problematic when one group moves forward at the speed of light while many others are at a standstill. That's the thing, if one cannot keep up with the current state of technology they fall further and further behind.

I like this video and listening to people actually making progress and going somewhere.

Allegedly General Fusion is planning to build a demo plant in London this year. They seem also to have changed the design since that Ted talk it's currently cylindrical in shape.

In reality the cold fusion process is stupid simple, we excite hydrogen to a critical level and it fuses into helium which releases extra energy. Every transmutation of one element into another produces excess energy. It does not matter how the H2 is excited... only that it is.

So we could have an instance where a porous metal absorbs water, breaks it into H2-O2 then under some condition excites the H2 to a sufficient state to produce fusion. Nikola Tesla's disruptive capacitor discharges which could amount to millions of horsepower in a nanosecond could do the trick. H2 confined in a metal lattice could be super compressed by Z-pinch and electrodynamic forces. I mean, if the forces can instantly vaporize metal wires into a plasma gas a little H2 shouldn't be a big deal.

Water is a remarkable substance most don't understand...

Electrified Water: Liquid, Vapor and Aerosol

As we can see there are countless brilliant scientists studying water related phenomena all around the world. Water would seem to have so many properties we have yet to understand it boggles the mind.

Interesting links. I wonder how one could derive an effective device from these electrostatic charges forming from moisture.
