He also makes a good point that the development cost is very low compared to a smart phone and the internet, a trillion dollars. Not unlike fossil fuels which is a dead horse with no future costing tens of trillions and possibly causing as much in damages. Another internet fallacy related to cold fusion is transmutation which was proven decades ago. It's not impossible and in fact quite common in high energy discharges with decades of research behind it. Yet many on the internet still believe cold fusion and transmutation are beyond our capability. I can see a pattern emerging where all these new technologies are gaining traction at a record rate. It follows something called the "exponential growth of knowledge" where we collectively gain knowledge faster and faster. Which becomes problematic when one group moves forward at the speed of light while many others are at a standstill. That's the thing, if one cannot keep up with the current state of technology they fall further and further behind.
