Cadman You may have noticed I purposely ignored any information regarding the vortex. This is because almost everyone tends to concentrate on it versus Viktor's actual work. The vortex is a red herring and means little which is why nobody has made any real progress in this field. There is no need for magic geometry or golden ratio's. We create these artifacts of some kind of importance in our mind.
The vortex was simply a means to organize the flow of high voltage plasma producing reactive forms of oxygen and hydrogen. I would suggest listening to Viktor, do the opposite of everyone else, do not go down the vortex rabbit hole everyone else has. It leads nowhere.

AC, I disagree here. It's not a red herring, it's the natural movement Viktor based all of his designs on. You can't understand something if you don't fully understand the basic premise. The movement is centripetal and from what I see, follows the golden ratio as a part of natural motion. I believe he referred to the shape as 'part of an egg'. Not that I fully understand, mind you. Viktor's early patents were for inducing a spin in pipes to emulate the natural winding course of a stream which causes a rotation of the water flow. He induced the spin with protrusions that caused vortices on the inner pipe surface. It's my understanding these vortices acted sort of like water roller bearings on the inner wall of the pipe and resulted in a rotation of the central column of water, and also resulted in reduced friction loss from the pipe wall. In later patents these same effects are also produced with a specially shaped pipe, twisted and wound as you mentioned. Another effect of note is this motion also produces a higher temperature of the water at the wall, and a lower temperature and accelerated flow in the central column of the flow. A flow within a flow. These temperature differences can be quite extreme. From patent #1,057,576: "With the possibility of regulating the rotational velocity of such pipes or pipelines, not only can the discharge velocity of the media be increased and with it an increase in mechanical efficiency and output, but also the speed of the molecular transformation can be controlled." Is this 'molecular transformation' the creation of the structured water you mention? This is a very interesting subject.
