Is it a political machine designed to achieve political goals? Is it driven by Truth or is it driven by Love of Money Deception? The human activity that has caused the most "pollution" in the past 100+ years is warfare. Especially now with the exotic weaponry, depleted Uranium and millions of tons of explosives generated destruction and aftermath. Will warfare end? Ultimately yes, but not in response to the Climate Change Movement. --------------------------- For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

It came into existence because people much more intelligent than us noted the Earth was changing in ways we never expected. What is most strange is not "climate change" due to pollution and man's activity which seems obvious but people completely ignorant to the facts thinking there experts. Think of it this way.... here is NASA's website, https://climate.nasa.gov/ Now when an average person say's they think climate change is a hoax there basically saying they think there smarter than everyone at NASA. You know... real rocket scientists , man on the moon and rovers on Mars. Apparently any fool off the street who has no facts and knows literally nothing that matters can think there smarter than the smartest people on the planet, lol. I mean it's just so silly and ridiculous you have to laugh don't you?. So let's get real, climate change and pollution are real because we can actually see the effects with our own eye's. The smog in all our cities, toxic rivers, lakes and oceans, shrinking glaciers, rampant rises in cancer and lung disease and pollution now kills more people than all other diseases combined. If we cannot see what's right in front of our face then we have big problems in my opinion. What I find most disturbing is not climate change which is obvious or that some people have false beliefs, it is that so many people would inflict untold pain and suffering on their own children out of ignorance and greed. It makes me sick to be quite honest because it means many of us are not much better than animals and cannot take responsibility for our own actions. I'm as guilty as anyone but at least I'm man enough to admit it and willing to change. As I like to say... If I'm wrong we may have wasted a lot of money but if your wrong we will have inflicted pain, suffering and possibly death on all our children. --------------------------- Comprehend and Copy Nature... Hero Member Posts: 2735	In my opinion Globalism is to believe we all live on a globe/planet and we are all collectively responsible for our safety and continued existence. However many countries believe they can pollute and destroy other peoples countries and not be held responsible. This is the true basis for anti-globalism in my opinion and it is designed to ensure no governing body can prevent a corporation/country from doing vile and damaging things to other people. According to the rule of anti-globalism my company can dump toxic waste into a water way, it can cross a border killing you and your family dead and I cannot be held responsible or liable. So yes of course the corporate types absolutely love anti-globalism because nobody can be held responsible for their actions. In effect anti-globalist are saying they do not care about the rest of the world only themselves and I find that offensive. In effect, a Central Government for the Planet to rule over all of the People as it executes Corporate Policies and Agendas. Do you see the pattern?, because I'm sure the big corporations would love everyone to just ignore the facts (science)and not act responsibly (sustainable) as well as never being able to oppose them collectively (globalism). Thanks muDped, you just outlined everything we should be doing in my opinion. 1)We should act globally to shut down any government or corporation which acts irresponsibly and does harm to people which is a crime. Anyone who thinks we should act irresponsibly is themselves irresponsible and probably a criminal on some level. Doing harm to others is a crime. 2)We should listen to science who are the real experts and not someone representing or affiliated with a corporation for profit. It is simply a matter of integrity and most of the leaders of big corporations have none. Joe blow off the street is not an expert opinion... obviously. 3)We should always act in a sustainable manner because by definition what cannot be sustained ceases to exist. In this case it is our life which will cease if we cannot sustain a clean atmosphere, water, healthy foods, etc... . Those who don't care about what they're doing and are solely engaged in acquiring more and more wealth and power are at the moment just too powerful. Elections no longer work because The People are simply too much deceived. And, in those few instances where the People are standing up now to the tyranny and corruption they're being brutally put down. Sure, the "Elites" may temporarily tone some of their violence down to placate the People, but only for a short time, then it is back to business as usual. The ancient prophecies which address this struggle in our time tell us that the Forces of Darkness will enjoy considerable success in their efforts to dominate the Whole Planet until the moment they proclaim that they have finally imposed their "Peace and Security" in Orwellian manner. It is then that the Forces of Good will undo the craziness very swiftly and make matters right. The next several years will be something to behold. Some believe that the year 2020 will be a very significant one. As in 20/20 eyesight. The World is trending towards the Orwellian State as evidenced by events throughout the West and especially in Sweden, The U.K. and France. The proclamation of "Peace and Security" will be false as it will merely signify that all who support Truth and Justice have been "neutralized" and the coming Police State will have been installed and risen to power. It is then that the Unbelievable Corruption will be overturned by the Forces of Good. Mankind has not yet, nor will it have of its own will, the means to prevent the pinnacle of badness which is soon upon us all. It is only the Forces of Good which will be able to achieve that feat. I find it funny as well however probably not for the same reasons as most people. Did you catch all the logical fallacies and false narratives Pena used?. One was an appeal to authority as if science and authority were the same which they are not. As well as the strawman, the fallacy fallacy, tu quoque and the bandwagon fallacy etc. He also used the appeal to emotion by invoking false authority and being a belligerent fool. Pena was not truthful when he claimed the banks were too smart to allow housing near the coast if they knew the water levels would rise due to global warming. It was untrue because we know the banks are corrupt which is why they are always failing and cooking up ponzi schemes lacking intelligence and morals. So I'm sure the banks know the oceans will rise just as surely as they knew the toxic mortgage derivatives ponzi scheme would eventually fail. They will simply leverage their position by selling the debt to misinformed people or find other ways to cook the books. I suspect the banks may also do as they have in the past and let it happen then feign ignorance/bankruptcy in which case once again you the taxpayer will be picking up the tab. Apparently you always pick up the tab, lol. One would think most supposedly intelligent people would be able to spot the lies and fallacies but for some reason they just keep falling for them. The most facts we are presented with are in order that is in the interest of the comercial enterprise that paid for their order . Lobbyists earn their living by smoothing over stuff so we can digest things more easily in the way that suits them. Often people are not aware and refer to them in the context of facts or in this case deception . Deceptive deception ... on and on it goes . Almost all left thinking people want to lump anyone that doesn't agree totally with them as automatically the enemy. Even if you agree with most of what one of them says or does if you disagree on even the smallest detail you are the ENEMY. Just look at how often those on the left even bash one another. They refuse to allow any room for a cordial discussion about their ideas. And they totally refuse to accept the possibility they might be wrong about something. Another fallacy the left keeps promoting is the idea that capitalism is only for the greedy. In other words if you like capitalism you must be greedy. The two are NOT the same in spite of the left's promoting that idea. Greed is a problem for both capitalistic forms of government and socialistic forms of government. Ask yourself why almost all socialistic governments fail. It is because of the greed of those in control. When I was only a teenager some of the Democrats were even then complaining that the Republicans were only interested in promoting business instead of taking care of the poor and needy. My Dad told me something then that has stuck with me for over 60 years. He said "I never had a poor man offer me a job." He meant of course that if there weren't any wealthy people that owned businesses then there would be no work for any of us. How many people are working because of people like Donald Trump who keep investing in places where they can work? As of a few days ago the economic report for the U.S. showed that the unemployment rate in the U.S. is the lowest it has been for over 40 years. And for most minority groups of people it is the lowest it has ever been. Capitalism without the greed can be the most powerful tool on earth for helping everyone achieve a decent life style. But the greedy left want to take from the rich so they can redistribute the wealth. But over and over again we have seen they only want to redistribute it to THEMSELVES! Greed works to destroy people no matter whether through capitalism or socialism. When I got married my wife and I had $10 between us. I had just lost my job. I immediately took the first job I could find. And my wife soon after also took a job. We didn't wait for someone to help us out. We took responsibility for our own situation. Now 54 years later we are both retired and have a decent retirement income that meets our needs. We are not rich but we don't lack for anything we really need. We own our own home and have no debts. So we are in pretty good shape thanks to our being conservative with our finances during our working years and with the Good Lord's help. Capitalism has certainly worked for us. Greed is a sickness many many people seem to have. And the love of money and power seems to be a major problem in our modern society. But it most certainly is not a problem only for those who believe in capitalism. In fact it seems to be an even worse problem for those promoting the socialist agenda. Socialism promotes the idea of letting someone else control what you do and how much money you can make. Doesn't that sound like greed on the part of the controllers? How well we are encouraged to be on one side of the fence or the other ..just show me the fence . Those who construct fences are the misguided. Divide and conqour is as old as history . Hero Member Posts: 2735	Talking with many of my fairly hardcore conservative friends this holiday season and all of them without exception agreed Trump has become corrupt, morally bankrupt and a threat to the free world. My how the attitudes have changed in barely the span of one year. Let's not forget that Trump has also committed numerous acts of adultery and groped/molested countless women by his own admission. Many of his companies have also been convicted of corruption and outright fraud against the American people. He has also cast almost everyone who is not loyal and obedient to him as an enemy of the people. As well as continually implying that if he loses an election he will consider it rigged, an attempted coup and an act of civil war. Not to mention that some recent polls found a majority of people thought Trump was the single biggest threat to democracy more so than China, Russia or North Korea. I simply cannot fathom how so many people could support a man who has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt to be mentally unstable, corrupt and morally bankrupt. As I said, this has nothing to do with Democrat/Republican or Capitalism/Socialism this is about a man, a person who considers himself to be god like and above all rule of law... by his own admission. So people can try to sugar coat this, victimize the victims, project, deny the facts and try to change the narrative but the cold hard facts remain. The District is incredibly corrupt and the shenanigans that go on there outside the light of day truly are sickening. The only candidate for president I've ever voted for was Ross Perot. Even after he ended his candidacy because the lives of his family were threatened I still voted for him. The way that he was very effectively "neutralized" and "removed" from the election was indeed eye opening. In modern times I believe that JFK and Ross Perot were probably the only honest and untainted candidates; not party to the massive corruption which has infected federal politics and their Love of Money. Nepotism used to be a crime and forbidden however now most of Trumps family and friends are illegally employed by him. To make matters worse he even said he wants to create a family dynasty just like China and North Korea. In the past adultery and groping women would have been political suicide however now Trumps base seem to be promoting it as normal. Outright lies proven to be false used to be called a scandal however now Trump tells four or more lies daily and over 15,000 to date. So let's be perfectly clear that the scale of lies and corruption is not even comparable to that in the past. A more important question may be why so many people would seem to have thrown the rule of law and morality out the window to support a would be dictator like Trump?. However were now seeing the effects of what Trump's own flavor of government has created. The younger generation has almost completely rejected Christianity because it has become hypocritical doing everything the bible say's we should do. Trump has become the poster boy for the seven deadly sins flaunting them in everyone's face while his base cheers him on. Never in my life have I seen such corruption and immoral behavior being peddled to the masses as normal. People may want to think about that considering we just celebrated Christmas and try to remember what it used to mean and how we were supposed to act and treat others. --------------------------- Comprehend and Copy Nature...
