Hi all, I've noticed that some folks when wanting to quote all or part of someone's post inside their own, don't use the "QUOTE" button as the means to initiate the reply process. Instead, "REPLY" is used, and a copy and paste is performed using the "Insert Quote" icon as the place-holder for the quoted portion. This sort of works, but the "who", "where", and "when" regarding the quote is completely lost, and anyone wanting to go back to the original post or just wanting to know from whom it came for example, are out of luck. I would encourage all here to use the "QUOTE" rather than the "REPLY" button when intending to respond to a post with some or all of it quoted. For quoting only a portion, just simply delete the portion you wish not to be included in the quote. As an added benefit, you will find it faster and more efficient to do it this way, as some steps in the "manual" method are skipped. For those that may want to take this a step further, in cases where you want to respond to several portions of a post point-by-point, again use the "QUOTE" button to get all of the post. Then begin manually inserting the appropriate {/quote} and {quote} code as required.
