Its like a grandfather clock setup where to just lift the weights to reset. It is a good idea and the part about gears and how they are configured is interesting. They say that since the Led is diode with a specific typically low conductivity voltage, this regulates the speed of the generator(small dc motor) for a consistent time of how long the initially lifted weight will hit the floor, to then be lifted again to reset operation.
For how much there is involved in this device, in desperate situations, this could be made to charge a phone or charge small batteries even. I like it. Would ya rather crank a hand crank gen, or just reset the weight once in a while?

Brilliant!! Genius indeed!
Aptly illustrating that Free Energy truly is a
simple concept. Once those with Creative
Minds develop the technical knowledge which
enables the means of reliably "harnessing"
the abundant Free Energy the device is born.
The highly efficient new technology LEDs
make it all possible.

its not free. But in a pinch, it makes some electrical energy available.
