It's not as complicated as it may seem...
Can anyone verify this?

Too bad if this is true  :-[ I hope it is not a cruel hoax.

I have received a credible information to report that our friend and Open Source engineer Otto has died!  This is a great loss to all of us and his determination to get the TPU working to the best of his ability was remarkable and flawless. My condolence go to his family.

Here is the information i received.

"Hi all

I have to share sad news. My friend Otto, some of you know him from replicating
the TPU, has deceased on Sunday and his funeral will be held tomorrow in Zagreb,
Croatia.

He was a heavy smoker, which obviously is the cause of his heart attack. The
ambulance came too late to help him. I seriouly doubt somebody had an influence
on his death, although it was my first though.

Maybe someone wants to lit a candle in memory of him.

If this is true, his death is our loss as I'm sure it is to many others.

He told it like he saw it and gave full details, not recently but, not that long ago.

It's not as complicated as it may seem...
Otto and I never saw eye to eye, but I respected him as an experimenter. He was with us all from the beginning as I recall, and it will be strange knowing that the "little man" from the "little country" (as he often put it) won't be proudly working on his ECD in the background, only to pop in once in a while to inform us where we are going "wrong" and how content he is experimenting with his TPU type coils.

Hi.

I heard that my fathers friend published the saddest news I have recived in my life.
My fathers passing away was and still is a big shock. He was 56 years old, and I think it was not his time to go.
He was a great man, a loving father and husband, he will be deeply missed...
I will always remember him as the smartest man I ever knew, he was very intelligent and he had a children's curiosity. There was nothing that he could not do.
I loved him very much. This few days have been the hardest time in my life. But I will try to be strong like he allways was, and so will the rest of my familly. We have to be strong...
He was buried today...

I just wanted to thank everyone for you're kind words and support.

Very sad news indeed, condolences to his family.

He's probably pretty busy right now interviewing Tesla, lets hope he's in a better place where energy really is free.

Maybe it will be smart to make confidential web site where guys can register themselves and provide alternative contact or next of kin information in case they kick the bucket. I too am just floored at the loss. Where is Ronotte? Ottos daughter asked about him at OU.
