Startrek is my favourite  sci-fi  show-always has been.

I now laugh at those who laughed at me for watching such rubbish.
Little flip communicators--hahaha they would go--and now we have mobile phones that do far more-and before the date that startrek was portraying the flip communicator.

Remember there air powered injectors-in stead of the good old needle?,
well they have been around for over 10 years now lol.
What about startreks ION thrusters?, yep,we now have them as well.

Beam me up Scotty-teleportation
Well turns out that a team of scientist mannaged to teleport an apple from one pad to another some 4 meters away.
It came out slightly cooked-but hey,it's  a start.

It has been deemed theoretically possible to build a warp drive, and travel faster than the speed of light, and we can already make antimatter-although very minute portions ATM.

Given enough time, all that startrek showed will eventuate-if it hasnt already.
Not sure i would like to meet the borg though lol.

Startrek was a show that gave us a good glimpse into our future, and so far it is dead on.
Only time sepperates startrek from reality.

Roddenberry was a genius. It's why we need artists. To inspire our creativity.

I remarked on someone's new Apple watch in the office today and how it was half the size of Dick Tracy's but could do infinitely more.
