It's not as complicated as it may seem...
 I use OrCad PSpice, and I think Lindsay uses Multisim.

LTspice may be the best free program available if you're wanting a simulator that is not limited. It's schematics aren't pretty, but they do the job.

LTSpice for everything (except digital)  has the best and most flexable display/analysis functionality. Tons of good support on the public forum.
