Hi All, I'm planning to build the the Jame's Hardy water wheel. I just order 35 pelton blades of my experiment. I only plan to redesign the housing, so the generator is above the water level. What I got from his video is a 4" pulley on the generator and a 18" on the drive pulley. This means it's a 1:4.5 ratio and the rpm's for the 18" pulley would need to be between (667rpm to 800rpm) 50hz-60hz Torque would need to be a average of (5252/800rpm= 6.57ft/lb) or 8.74 lb of water thrust. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhJjq4B7Z1YTom
