What did for the Concorde was the supersonic bang. He needs a solution for that. Possibly height. He could do worse than trawl through Barnes Wallis' work and see what can be gleaned.

Very  true about the "Sonic Boom" ,I remember the first time the SST landed at JFK ,the whole Populous
was standing around with Pitchforks and Torches wanting to Burn that Noisy plane ,and that was just the Takeoff noise, it never went Sonic over land .

Overcourse I just stood in Awe......
