Anyone exploring the Deep Web?

After reading a few news articles, it occurred to me that if someone were to release viable instructions for interesting devices, they would do it in the Deep Web rather than open web sites.

Apparently a TOR Browser is required:

(Still looking for a good version of Linux.)

Tor project and tails are good.   Liberte Linux = BEST .     It uses the TOR network plus a whole lot more.   Industrial grade security.   Just one example -- it wipes your RAM when it shuts down.   Or didn't you know they can come bustin' in and Freeze spray your RAM and see what you had been doing - LOL   - not a likely scenario but Liberte Linux even covers that.   Entire OS is made to be bullet proof.   And it's a lot smaller than Tails.

Forgot to mention you can install Liberte Linux to a CD as a Live CD or to a USB flash drive.   No persistence on USB although I think there is a way to enable it.

Hi

Just for info:
I have tested many pieces of software to write bootable iso files to USB flash drives and the best one so far I have encountered is Rufus.

Ditto but I find Yumi the best I've seen - very fast, easy automatic and supports mutli-booting many OS's from same drive.   It has specific support for Liberte Linux and a whole lot more (hundreds).   Can also boot Windows.   Find it at www.pendrivelinux.com

Comparison between Liberte Linux and Tails:

I won't say that is an unfair evaluation but note it does come from the Tails web site.   Also unless you understand something like "tries to perform a Mac address change" (Liberte LInux) you might not know that is a GOOD thing.   Tails does not do this.   They also say the Liberte desktop might draw attention but it is easily and quickly changed to any background you want or just a plain black background.   So that seems silly to point out that as a flaw.   I found nothing in that review that would sway me to use Tails over Liberte Linux and they actually do point out some ways Liberte is better.   Tails can be made to look a lot like Windows XP but I don't see advantage in that unless you are in a public place with people looking over your shoulder.

Also if you are looking to explore the Deep Web, Dark Net, Underworld Net or whatever you want to call it Liberte Linux by default opens up it's browser to a large index Wiki style of the Deep Web sites.   You don't get that with Tails.   I'll just add that there are a lot of dangerous sites out there and more and more they are being monitored by Law enforcement.  It was just on CNN a few days ago about one of the big Underground drug sites getting busted.   Lots of criminal activity there and not a place to play or buy anything IMO unless you really know what you are doing and even then I think it's risky.   I seriously doubt you will find any real Free Energy devices being sold there.   It's sort of fun to look around if you've never seen it but be very careful.
