Mylar tape might be ok, but kapton is better, but also very expensive. My main SEP coils are mounted on plastic sheeting (outside one) or plastic tube (inside one).

Reassembling everything over the next few weekends.

I'll get kapton for the CCU SEPs.

I had the top and bottom plates CNC'd and the bobbins as well. They slot together fine, for the SEPs I have dowel rods that slide through drilled holes in the plates, inner and outer, the three sections of the plate are detachable, I wound my SEPs on those.

I'm redo-ing my CCUs with the kapton tape, thanks for the tip!

They are about $50 a roll, but you don't need much since the dielectric strength is so high. http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?mpart=1205%201%22&vendor=19 (there are cheaper solutions)

Group: Moderator Sr. Member Posts: 308	If I built a bigger unit, I would probably use a 900V level in place of the SEP around each CCU. It's impossible to get enough wire in the space provided with a 9" unit.
