This topic covers the most common of the claimed overunity devices - pulsed rotational systems.
If pulse-pushed pendulum can lead-out or bring-in gravitational energy; and pulsed magnetic pendulum can lead-out magnetic energy; we should be able to convert the inefficient oscillation motion to the more efficient rotational motion. This is true and many devices have been built including the Newman, Adams, Bedini, Liang,Wang and our own Tong Wheel.
In the Tong Wheel design, we have magnets on the rotor and coils on the stator. The coils can be configured as drive coils or collector coils. In the demonstration Tong wheel at the Inno Tech Design Expo 2009, there were 15 coils and 16 magnets. The empty coil position was taken up by a proximity switch. The proximity switch was adjusted so that it could start a pulse by passing or stopping current through the drive coils. That represents Input Energy. The Output Energy was collected by the collector coils and used to light three 5 watt light bulbs.
Most inventors go for high speed rotation. Unfortunately, the theory requires that the Output Energy must be picked up by the collector coils and used. Otherwise the rotational speed will increase so much that the proximity switch will not be able to catch up. In addition, if the wheel were mounted in a vertical position, gravitational energy can be brought-in at the same time.
Thus large wheels are easier to design and tune than small ones. Bedini built a large 14 feet diameter wheel for demonstration. Our demonstration Tong wheel was 1 meter in diameter.
