One of the first devices I built was his SSG that actually worked first time. Nothing built since has proven to be as reliable!! I think it was a heart attack, his brother, Gary, was very ill and living with John, they were very close brothers, I think it was the shock, I may be wrong. The last I heard bearden was in a home, not sure he is still alive, John I think was my age +- 66 in two months, Peter Lindman is exactly my age and we have the same birth date, 11th jan 1951. Dear Prof. FWIW, I have been following the mentioned fellows offerings since the mid-80's when I first heard of his work. Wide eyed and awe filled, I purchased the attached paper back then from Borderland Research if I recall correctly. The paper makes great claims for high COP's, but has never been replicated to my knowledge. If it worked it could have solved the energy crisis a long time ago. Thousands have experimented with what is mentioned in the paper, including myself, with negative results. I put this paper into the category of pulp pseudoscience. His association with Tom Bearden may even predate the 1984 date of the paper. IMHO, they were part of a tautology with a few others that never sought nor received rigorous scientific review. I could speak volumes, but out of respect for the recently deceased I will be quiet now. I believe that device is a fraudulent offering to the audio community.
