It's unfortunate that good detective work, and just good ol' common sense are considered "pessimism".
In my experience, these perceptions are most often held by those that don't have a complete understanding of the realm they are dealing with, take simulations as an example. Another recent example stems from not having a complete understanding of basic power measurements. Faraday too to has had his good name misinterpreted.
Yes, this is the best FE forum out there imho, but it seems many fail to realize why. Well I'll tell ya; it's because the moderators here care about what is said and what is claimed. We don't tolerate nonsense, abuse, flames, insults etc. and we actively enforce the terms of service.
Not only that, but certain bold or misguided statements will be called out, if and when they are noticed. I have done so recently with partzman for example.
Do as you wish, but please don't pout about what we do here. Things are good and they are that way because we care, and we do what's necessary to maintain the integrity of this site.
