If the Germans were trying to use an Oxygen engine as a power source it is highly likely they were using oil as well and not realising that the Dieseling effect was in play. I wouldn't be surprised if they blew up a lot of prototypes and not knowing why just observed the massive power spike available and tried to utilise it. Very dangerous to play with this technology without a proper research lab. You also have to consider the energy used in processing air to pure oxygen (liquid) which will detract from your overall system efficiency. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_oxygenhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_separation"Ceramic membranes can provide high-purity oxygen (90% or more) but require higher temperatures (800-900 deg C) to operate." A gasifier can produce that kind of temperature and so the integration of a ceramic membrane for high purity oxygen production is a possible integration route for introduction of oxygen to the combustible gases produced from the pyrolysis process. Hmm... interesting... I am not going to touch that though, far too dangerous for the home tinkerer and I have more than enough exciting avenues to explore without having to touch that process. Rob
