http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afQW8FT02DMWhen the magnet is positioned vertically in the cylinder, the plasma rotates around the wall. Therefore a near coil could recover the induced electric field due to the rotating charges, and provide energy. There are at least two questions about this device. Why the plasma rotates? May be the answer depends on how the plasma is generated. It is not explained. If we get current from a near coil, where the energy comes from? If we are optimistic, we could think it is coming freely from the permanent magnet. But Murphy would rather say that it is coming from the electric generator building the plasma. What do you think?
