After trying to use 2N5551's for a long time, I gave up.
They are too hard for me to trigger, needing a trigger pulse of at least 10v and rise time less than 10ns.
All Zetex avalanche transistors and 2N3904's are easy to trigger.
I have a few HV transistors that I have not tried yet.
