@Mike
That's a pretty slick setup and had looked at that kind of setup a long time ago with my father inlaw. He wanted to make pellets from straw which is abundant here after harvest time. The issue I found was that the energy and machinery to process the material was large in comparison to the actual energy from burning the material. I then looked at an all in one setup where large pieces of material were processed on site and where the heat losses to break up the material could be utilized.

I found it is the same old scenario we all face where we have an abundance of energy all around us but connecting the dots between the raw material and heating our house is generally an expensive proposition. I found the burner/boiler setup is the easy part but damned if I could find a cheap easy way to automate the material processing end of it.

Look into the rest of his youtube channel AC, he is very versatile, his wind generator is very good, all made from scratch O0

Just a good chipper and hammer system will work for the fuel
