Some interesting reading about what goes on in the suppression world

http://archivefreedom.org/casehistories.htm

I just thought this might be a good place to put anything we find in this category, all in one place, also gives an insight as to what some professionals are doing but never seems to see the light of day. I am talking of very professionable people who seem to have rocked the boat.

P.S. been a bit under the weather lately and also with a heavy work load, but I will get to the things I have promissed to do on other threads, just trying to keep the wolf from the door at the moment here in Europe, is this suppression? sure it is, just keep the people busy just surviving and the rest looks after itself!!

I read the link about Dr LaViolet' effort to get his paper published.

I don't agree with his interpretation of the events.  The archive' policy was very clear: only members with .gov, or .edu emails.

It is quite naive, if not delusional,  for Dr LaViolet to assume the Cornell library read his paper and passed judgment on its scientific merits and decided to suppress it.   That's not their role, they simply implement the policy and administer it, but if you put up a fight, you might be remembered negatively for a while.

After his paper was peer reviewed and accepted by a journal, and he finally got permission to upload his paper to the online archive, its classification and placement in the archive should not be looked upon as suppression, its just another thing that the administrators do, catalog stuff.

I think he was over reacting.

PS. Theres a lot of suppression in the scientific community and the publication realm, there has to be if quality is to be maintained.  Im sure in the process a few pearls are discarded, but by far a lot of junk is kept away.

Trevor James Constaple calls the act of suppression 'Ahrimanism'.

This would seem to apply to the amount of years gone by.
